A few months ago some friends and I decided to get away from the city and head down to Cuba to soak up some sun. Cuba is definitely a place everyone should get to once in their life if you haven’t already – it is typically more affordable than other trips and the white sand beach is just to die for.
We enjoyed relaxing on the beach, and also participated in some fun activities!
I wanted to share some pictures from our trip, I hope you enjoy!
If you have any questions at all about the trip or where we stayed, leave them down in the comments!
Lots of love,
I wish I took more pictures! This activity run us about $100 each. We got a Jeep that we drove around all day to different places. This was an all day trip. We started at around 8 am and got back to the resort at about 6pm.
We started with a boat ride, then went snorkelling, swimming in a cave that was freezing cold but beautiful, horse back riding, to a local farm for lunch and more! (If you want to see pictures of anything I didn’t post, let me know!)

We decided to take a trip down to Havana. It was just over an hour drive, and we stopped to a few other places on the way. We actually went with a private tour guide, which you will probably be offered once you are there as well. It was two local men just making a living off of tourism. They were super nice and knowledgable. We also stopped at a cigar factory but unfortunately were not allowed to take pictures inside, but I definitely recommend asking your tour guide to bring you in. Walking around was so beautiful and despite the insane heat I am so glad we got to see it.
The view from where we stopped to get the pineapple drink!
I loved all the old cars!
It was such a gorgeous walk
I loved the old vibes Havana had

So today I wanted to talk about my typical “date night” makeup look. Sometimes I do like do go a little bolder, but I definitely gear towards this look much more.
What I really like to focus on is my skin. I like to make sure my skin looks as flawless as possible and focus on the blush, bronzer, highlight and contour. I think that spending the most time on the skin will make you look the most put together!
The picture came out a little blurrier then I hoped, but you can see that my eyes are very simple, nothing dramatic at all. What I did was use a sparkly nude colour all over the lid, and then a cool grey on the outer V, and that’s basically it.
I added a boat-load of mascara and the eyes were done!
I love wearing this look because it looks so effortless and really does not take much time! Throw a nude lip on and you’re good to go.
I hope this inspires your next “natural” make-up look!
Lots of love,
Is one of your New Years resolutions to get into shape? Me too!
I’ve started to get back into the habit of going to the gym (we’ll see how long this lasts) and I’ve noticed myself running out of gym clothes throughout the week.
When I went to shop around, I resorted to the typical gym wear – Nike , Under armour, Adidas, etc. And MAN are they pricey! So, here I’ve put together a cute gym outfit that is nowhere near as expensive!
First is this racer-back tank top from Joe Fresh! It’s only $16 (Canadian) and from experience, I know they fit really well! I’ve chosen the white one here, but it also comes in black, grey and magenta. Check out their website, they even have long sleeves and zip ups if that’s more your style!
To pair with this, I chose these tights from Old Navy. I typically gear towards black or grey for my bottoms, and I like that these ones have a cool but still simple design to jazz up the look. I also really enjoy that it is mid-rise, so I feel like it is “holding it all together” while I’m working out!
And last but certainly not least, a sports bra! This one is also from Old Navy. It is one of many that I saw and really liked! Shopping online at Old Navy you will almost always find a deal, the shipping just takes a little longer than other retailers. I’m into this one because it comes down and hugs the waist, which is something essential for me in a sports bra.
I hope this helps you get motivated and inspires you to get back on a healthy path! (Even though all I want to do is eat chocolate all day).
Lots of love,
Yet another pasta dish! This is a delicious and quick meal you can whip up for you and your loved ones!
Heres what you’ll need:
Alright! Now take your salami, or whatever you choose to use, and on medium heat pan fry it with a little bit of olive oil.
From here, I added chopped up red pepper and onion.
Let that cook on medium heat until the veggies start getting softer. Once you let that cook for a while, add your can of diced tomatoes. (You can also just use sauce, but I like the flavour the tomatoes give). I also allowed the sauce until half the liquid was lifted before adding the zucchini. This prevents the zucchini from getting really mushy.
From here, I added 2 tsp of Bomba Sauce. This is a hot sauce that I find at my local grocery store. It is an Italian sauce, so if you can’t find it at your regular grocery shop, try a European food market. This is the one I use, but if you Google it there are many different brands.
Once I mixed that in, I added my cooked penne and some baby spinach. This is definitely the last thing you want to add in because it cooks within seconds. Give it a nice little mix.
And VOILA! You have a delicious dish that didn’t take much time or effort at all!
Add cheese and parsley on top and dig in!
I hope you try this and you love it!
Lots of love,
I just wanted to RAVE about this camera for all of you that are looking to purchase soon!
The SonyA500 is the greatest camera I have ever used! When you take photos, it gives the photo such a clean crisp look. I am obsessed. Its not as pricey as some other ones out there, so it is perfect for someone who just likes taking photos of family, friends, and a few selfies every now and then.
The flip-up screen makes taking selfies so easy! I definitely recommend this for any one who wants to make vlogs or maybe even take makeup photos.
If you’re not into that, the camera still works amazing for regular photos. I took some photos in the forest and the colour that the camera captures is absolutely beautiful.
If you have any questions about it, leave a comment!

Lots of love,
Hey guys! Here is a little recipe that me and my family love to make in the winter!
Its so simple, the hardest part is waiting!
What you will need:
- a hand blender
- a pot
- one butternut squash
- one sweet potato
- one white onion
- one tomato
- one veggie flavour cube
First, you will need a butternut squash, a sweet potato, a white onion and a tomato.
Cut the squash, sweet potato and onion in half and place on a baking sheet. I like to lay down foil so clean-up is easier. Drizzle some olive oil, add salt and pepper and stick in the oven at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. You know they are ready when you can stick a fork through!
Let the veggies cool enough to touch, and then peel the skin off of the veggies. You don’t want the veggies to cool completely, because it will be more difficult to take off the skin.
Once that is done, you want to start boiling your water. I like my soup thicker, so I only fill the pot less than half way. If you like a runnier soup, you can add more water. I also like to add a veggie flavoured cube to my water, but this is optional.
Add in all the veggies to the pot and allow it to begin to boil. Once you see that the veggies are softening, take the pot off the burner.
Take your hand pureer and begin blending everything. You want to keep at this until there is no lumps or bumps.
Add some parsley on top and you’re done! A delicious soup for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
There are so many different ways to enjoy this soup, this way is just my favourite. Some things you can add are:
- red peppers
- cream (to make the soup thicker)
- a red apple (makes the soup sweeter)
I hope you enjoy!
Lots of love,
